Privacy statement
Wo gibt's is a crowdsourced directory of where to buy specific products. This page explains what personal data the site holds, why, and what you can do about it.
What we store
- Account: the login provider you chose and the id it gives us, your email if the provider shares one, and the handle shown on your contributions.
- Contributions: the sightings, shops, products and edits you submit, each stamped with your account and a timestamp.
- Photos you upload. Location metadata is stripped on upload.
- Request logs kept by the web server, including your IP address.
Why, and the legal basis
- Account and contributions: to run the site and attribute your work — this is necessary for the service you signed up for (contract).
- Request logs: to keep the site available and investigate abuse (legitimate interest).
How long we keep it
- Request logs: 30 days.
- Account and contributions: until you delete your account.
Where it is stored
Hosting is with Liteserver in the Netherlands. Your data stays in the EU.
Your data
From your account page you can download everything tied to your account, or erase your account. Erasing removes your profile and identifying details; shops and products you added stay, with your name removed.
Cookies
One cookie, used only to keep you signed in. No analytics or tracking cookies, so no cookie banner.
